Q: What are your age and licence requirements for renting a car?
A: Drivers must be between 22 - 65 years old and in possession of a valid local or international driving licence with qualified driving experience of at least one year. Probational licence holders will not be accepted.
Q: Are your cars insured?
A: Yes, they are. The insurance cover includes passenger liability protection and insurance cover of third party property damage up to RM 3,000,000.00.
Q: Is there a breakdown service?
A: KLCR has engaged the respective insurance panel Auto Assist 24 hours Breakdown Service to assist the hirer in case of any emergency situation.
Q: Can cars be dropped off at another Location?
A: Cars can be dropped off at another location nationwide. However, a repositioning fee will be levied in accordance with the distance of the location from the initial renting location.
Q: What are the modes of payment?
A: Methods of payment accepted are credit card (MasterCard/Visa/Amex) with a 5% surcharge, telegraphic transfer, cash deposit, and cheque. All charges for telegraphic transfer or other method are to be borne by the client.
Q: Is there any additional charges if i want to name a second driver?
A: No, The number of people you anticipate driving the car can also impact your cost. At KLCR, there is no additional daily charges for any other individuals who are listed on the contract as additional drivers, but must be within the specific age category listed in our terms & conditions.
Rates
Rates are for a minimum of 24 hours rental. Additional hours will be calculated at one fifth of the daily rate, per hour up to a maximum of 5 hours. Rates include unlimited mileage, maintenance, and insurance cover of third party property damage up to RM3,000,000 . Rates are subject to change without prior notice.
Promotional Rates
No other promotions or discounts can be used concurrently and is strictly no millage accrual for frequent flyer and other related programs.
Driver's Age And Licence Requirements
The renter and additional drivers must be between 22 and 65 years old and in possession of a valid national or International Driving Licence. Other nationals who hold a valid driving licence in English can drive in Malaysia for a maximum of 3 months. Probational licence holders will not be accepted.
Terms Of Payment
Methods of payment accepted are credit card (MasterCard/Visa/Amex) with a 5% surcharge, telegraphic transfer, cash deposit, and cheque. All charges for telegraphic transfer or other method are to be borne by the client.
Refund of Unused Services
No refunds, either in part or in full, will be made for unused service.
Damages
The renter shall be held responsible for all damages caused to the vehicle, including theft regardless of fault. Upon the renter's acceptance and subject to the terms and conditions stipulated in the Rental Agreement.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that you purchase a personal travel insurance policy prior to the commencement of your holiday. The Company shall not be responsible for any loss or damage as a result of trip cancellation, personal baggage, personal accident, injury or illness.
Navigation System (GPS)
The renter can also add Navigation System (GPS) devices to all car rentals. Daily rental at RM20, monthly rental at RM150 and a flat rate of RM100 for lease rentals. For transient rentals, a maximum of RM200 will be charged. In the event of theft or damage to the GPS device, the renter will be subjected to an excess fee up to a maximum of RM1,000. Purchase of GPS is available upon vehicle collection and it is subject to the availability.
Fuel
All KLCR cars is rented out with half tank of fuel and must be returned the same. Otherwise the renter will be charged for a refill upon return based on standard fuel tariffs.
Parking Fees And Traffic Fines
The Renter is liable for all parking and traffic fines incurred for the duration of the rental. An additional RM50 administration fee will be charged to the renter over and above any fine and penalty cost for any violation arising from the renter's use of vehicle. KLCR retains the right to charge against the renter's charge / credit card / deposit if and when payment is due for traffic fines committed by the renter, upon receiving notification from the government authorities.
Extension Of Rental
Should the renter wish to extend the rental or appoint any additional drivers, it is compulsory to advise KLCR immediately to facilitate the extension of the insurance coverage.
Delivery And Collection Service
Delivery and collection services will be chargeable from RM30 upwards depending on the distance and accessibility of destination from rental location. Free delivery within 5 kilometres.
Repositioning
A repositioning charge will be levied for one way rentals. Details on the charges and procedures will be made available at time of enquiry.
Vehicle Condition
Upon return, the car has to be in the same condition as when it was rented. Failing which, the renter will be liable for the cost of restoring the vehicle to its original condition.
Charges
All complaints or disputes on charges must be brought to KLCR's attention no later than 14 days from the date of completion of rental, otherwise the amount charged in the Rental Agreement should be conclusive.
Surcharge
A sum of RM50 will be levied for services rendered, after business hours, inclusive of Sundays and Public Holidays.
Restricted Entry
All KLCR cars are strictly prohibited from being driven into Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.
Prohibited Odours
All items and goods discharging unpleasant odours are strictly forbidden from being carried in the vehicle (e.g. Durians, salted fish etc). The renter will be liable to reimburse KLCR on demand for all costs of eliminating such odours, including the servicing of the whole air conditioner system and the loss of rental days to KLCR.
Note: Please be advised that smokings in KLCR vehicles are strictly prohibited.
